Those who have heard on the radio and were going to visit the WW1 Centenary Display Centre - Nerang Qld this week, make your trip on the Friday or Sunday as due to unforeseen circumstances it will be closed for the first time since commencement this Thursday the 14th of June. Sorry for any inconvenience, things will be back to normal next week.
The WW1 Centenary Display & Education Centre is open on Thursday & Fridays from 9am until 2pm and on Sunday mornings from 9am until midday until early November 2018. This year the focus is on the decisive battles of 1918 which culminated in the Armistice on the 11th November 1918.
The successes of the Australian Army Corp under the command of General Sir John Monash are examined battle by battle. The dominant role of Australian and New Zealand forces in the successful final drive against the forces of Germany is highlighted in the various presentations.
